Must have the financial resources to pay for services and assessed fees.

Must be independently mobile within their unit. Assistive devices may be used.

Must be able to manage activities of daily living independently or with the assistance of one.

Must maintain both person and the unit in a manner that is not detrimental to either the safety or the physical, mental or economical well-being of self or others.

Must be able to manage bladder and bowel in a manner that keeps self, unit and building clean and odor free.

Must have the ability to feed self.

Must not require more than part-time or intermittent health-related care, requiring more than eight hours of assistance, health-related care and supervision per day.

Must be capable of caring for a medical device such as a colostomy, ileostomy, urinary catheter, oxygen or other medical needs, including medication independently or with the assistance of staff.

Must avoid exhibiting behavior problems that disturb other tenants of the community.
