There comes a time in life when older adults and their families must make an important lifestyle decision- whether to remain at home or move to a nursing home.
Today, that decision is made easier with the availability of Riverview Terrace Assisted Living Residence-- located on the St. Luke Campus.
Riverview Terrace is much like a home with inviting surroundings, an ideal location, and a professional, caring staff. Seniors flourish in the environment of Riverview Terrace, where independence and dignity are promoted.
Riverview Terrace is a tasteful, three-story complex with 64 assisted living suites. Each suite offers a kitchenette, private bathroom, bedroom and an individually-controlled thermostat. Other amenities include laundry facilities, whirlpool bath, beauty and barber shop and community rooms.
Our staff is attuned to the various needs of all tenants. A 24-hour monitoring system is in place to alert staff of medical emergencies, and trained healthcare professionals are available 24-hours a day. The complex is secured with locked entrances after business hours. A keypad security device or doorbell may be used for access thereafter.
Individuals interested in making
Riverview Terrace Assisted Living Residence
their home must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 55 years old or older.
- Must have the financial resources to pay services and assessed fees.
- Must be independently mobile within the unit. Assistive devices may be used.
- Must be able to manage activities of daily living independently or with assistance of one.
- Must maintain both person and the unit in a manner that is not detrimental to either the safety or the physical, mental, or economical well-being of self or others.
- Must be able to manager bladder and bowel in a manner that keeps self, unit, and building clean and odor free.
- Must have the ability to feed self.
- Must not require more than part-time or intermittent health-related care, requiring more than eight hours of assistance, health related care and supervision per day.
- Must be capable of caring for a medical device such as a colostomy, ileostomy, urinary catheter, oxygen, or other medical needs, including medication independently or iwth the assistance of staff.
- Must avoid exhibiting behavior problems which disturb other residents of the community.
- Must provide written physician's order for occupancy when transferring from a nursing facility.
