St. Luke Lutheran Home Nursing Facility serves seniors by providing quality housing and long-term healthcare services. More than 80 percent of the nursing home rooms are private.
St. Luke Lutheran Home Nursing Facility provides a wide variety of therapies and restorative care, including on-site rehabilitation, a Special Care Unit for residents with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, five whirlpools, an aquatic center, and a high staffing ratio.
Seniors flourish in the warm environment of St. Luke. Residents enjoy daily activities designed to meet the physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs. Individualized programming is provided for those who are unable to participated in scheduled activities.
The 99-bed nursing facility is licensed by the state of Iowa Department of Health and certified by the Department of Human Services for the Medicaid Title XIX Program and Medicare Skilled Nursing Program.

Whether a senior requires long-term medical care or a brief period of recuperation, our goal is to give each resident the services and care they require to achieve their greatest level of good health and quality of life.
The St. Luke Nursing Department delivers 24-hours quality health care, using a team approach. Each team is made up of a professional nurse and certified nursing assistant working together to meet the individual needs of each resident in a home-like atmosphere. We remain current and in compliance with state, federal and medical regulations.
Quality assurance practices, knowledge of senior care and on-going training for staff are all part of St. Luke's commitment to quality.
Christian Setting
St. Luke Lutheran Nursing Home is the church at work within the community - serving people in the name of Jesus Christ. Our campus is an extension of the social ministries of area Christian congregations. Our chaplain offers spiritual guidance for residents on a daily basis. Bible study is offered during the week, and worship services are held weekly in the nursing home's chapel. |

St. Luke Lutheran Home is located on the campus of St. Luke Homes and Services, Inc, situated on a hilltop overlooking the community of Spencer, Iowa, and the beautiful, winding Little Sioux River.
